Rams Around RI: Scarborough Beach Cleanup
URI is teaming up with the Coastodians during National Volunteer Month to protect our oceans! Join fellow Rams for a cleanup at Scarborough beach and protect our beautiful ocean together, one piece of trash at a time.
Be sure to arrive early for coffee and pastries generously provided by South County Bread Company, an alum-owned business owned by Keri Lyn Collins '05!
Equipment will be provided to the first 50 volunteers. If you have your own gear (grabber tools, bags, and gloves) you are encouraged to bring it.
Please wear closed-toe shoes as there may be rocky coastline.
Don't forget your reusable water bottle!
We will be departing at 10 a.m. Meet near the main pavilion on the beach side.
Light refreshments will be available prior to departure.
Coastodians is an organization dedicated to preserving Rhode Island's coastal towns and shorelines through donations, volunteerism, and events that promote environmental awareness and foster a love for our oceans, beaches, and towns.
